IN THE STREET

TASK 1

Your teacher will show you a picture representing two persons in the street. Then she will play a recording* of the dialogue between them. After listening to the dialogue the teacher will ask you and another student to create a new dialogue based on the same structure as the first one. She will also give you some guidelines to do the task.

Tony: Hello Robert, I can’t believe it! After such a long time we finally meet again!
Robert: Hi Tony. What a surprise. And how are you?
Tony: I am fine, thank you. And you? What do you do now?
Robert: I am OK. I work as a clerk in the public administration sector right now.
Tony: Oh, it sounds good! Do you like it?
Robert: Well, it is a little bit boring because we spend a lot of time doing nothing. And you, what do you do?
Tony: I am a Human Resources consultant at an employment agency. I really enjoy my job because it is very mind-stimulating.
Robert: Good for you. So, why don’t we go some place and have a drink together?
Tony: Why not? Let’s go then.
