ON HOLIDAYS

TASK 1

Listen to the dialogue about two friends on holiday in Barcelona (Spain). When the recording stops, the teacher will ask two students to take a look at the city map and continue the discussion. The main goal in this conversation is to find the best and fastest way back to the hotel. You will negotiate a common solution together with your partner.

Frank: So, where are we now exactly, Kevin?
Kevin: Oh no! I left my city map back at the hotel room.
Frank: Wait... Let's look at the street signs… So, we are at Plaça d'Espanya and our hotel is on the Rambla de Sant Josep. I think we need a city map to get there. There is a tourist information office. Go and ask there.
Clerk: Good morning, sirs! How can I help you?
Kevin: We want to buy a city map. How much is it?
Clerk: It is 5 Euros…And, here is your map, thank you.
Kevin: Bye.
Frank: Oh, very good... You found the city map. So let’s look at it.
